Hello, I'm the creator of Exotastic Earth. My journey began unexpectedly. I was a proud cat lady, happily owned by fifteen cats and a gentle giant of a dog. But after a difficult encounter with grief, I found myself trying and failing to care for two unsuspecting betta fish. That initial disaster led me down a rabbit hole into the wild world of the nitrogen cycle. I discovered that the focus required for fish-keeping was surprisingly therapeutic. Soon, my aquatic family grew to include dramatic Channa pulchra, a kingly betta named Sky, and a host of other finned friends. The real turning point came with two coin-sized turtles, Mike and Frida. Their arrival sparked the creation of this blog, turning my grief into a fiery passion for all things reptilian. This new path led me to Cosmo, my grumpy but lovable African Chameleon, and eventually helped me face my greatest nemesis: a lifelong fear of snakes. Exotastic Earth is the result of that journey. It’s a testament to the profound, healing power of scales, fins, and the occasional grumpy chameleon. It's proof that you can find unexpected joy and overcome your deepest fears through the love of these incredible creatures.
